May C2P LOs + one

I've been having a lot of fun playing around with the girly colors in the May Commit2Paper kit. Here's what I have so far.

This paper goes so beautifully with my Sleeping Beauty picture from our Disney trip last summer. I was pretty thrilled to meet Sleeping Beauty as she's my favorite princess and well...pretty awesome. I incorporated a few things from a RAK Joyce sent me a while back because they looked so nice with the colors! I should also point out that I noticed how much better in shape I am now compared to this picture. Quite exciting!

Still finishing up the Girl Scout letters. I've got about 6 left. These fun girly paper lend to it though. Makes the letters and pictures pop.

Finally, a final LO using the April C2P kit. fun cruise times.

Jealous Yet?

Guess what I got in the mail yesterday and have been playing with this afternoon?

oh yes, you guessed it right... The May Commit2Paper kit.

did you order yours yet? You should. It's totally adorable. Perfect for things like...weddings, all those silly showers for things we have to go to bachelorette parties and just fun spring pictures. All those Easter pictures? perfect (unless you were me and you wore black on Easter).

More LOs!

I got some more fun LOs done using the C2P April kit (what a busy weekend!) and finished up what might now be my current favorite LO.

I thought the kit colors would look great with some of my shots from Mexico and lo and behold, tada!!

I'm still working on getting these letters from my Girl Scout friends transfered over. They are so cute!

Because Yes we are that Cool.
This is my new favorite. Love playing with the larger picture, love playing with the goodies from my Lisa Bearnson Kit of the Month, love fun pictures of little brother.

We are that cool detail
A detail shot so you can see how the piece folds down. Very very cool.

Something for You to do to Help Out...

In case you don't already go by once a day, make sure you start going to the Click to Give at the Breast Cancer Site. Every click helps them donate mamograms to women who can't afford them. If you are lucky enough to not be close to someone who has suffered from breast cancer, I envy you, but I still want to push the issue. If you are over 40 and should be having mamograms regurally and you aren't, get in there. It's uncomfortable and weird, but it's important.

C2P LOs plus one more

OH the fun. I got my Commit2Paper kit a little while ago and was able to squeeze some time in to get some good scrapping done. The kit is fantastic, full of fun things to play with. I tried some new techniques on these pages, more cutting things out and using different layering styles that I'm not used to. I even added some ribbon to a page, even though I'm not a huge ribbon fan.

The first two are from a book my Girl Scout troop gave me when I moved in fifth grade. All the girls wrote me a letter and included a picture of themselves and the leader put it all in one album. The album though is one of those gross magnetic albums, so I decided to get all the things out of it in order to preserve the pages.
Some detail of Meghan's page:

Another one of the letters. I liked the layered look of the flowers. I had a good time looking at this book because all my friends are so grown up now. I know that Allison here is married and then another girl (who's page I'm not to yet) has a kid. It's crazy how fast time flies.
This one is for a swap. I haven't printed out the pictures yet which is why it doesn't have a picture. I love the way this page came out. The ribbon at the top (which I got as a RAK from Joyce!) pulls out a tag with the journaling on it. Hopefully she'll love it.
And finally one just for fun that isn't C2P. I just love the way it came out. Thanks for looking!! I hope to get some more fun stuff done soon to share again. I have a great page in work of my brother and I goofing around on the cruise.

Luscious colors and some scrap talk

So the new spring line from Vera Bradley is up! (I'm pretty sure it's been up for a while, but I don't get the catalog, so I'm behind.) I am desperately in love with the "yellow bird" because it's so perfectly my Alma mater's school colors. I can see me now at football games decked out with my gear...

The whole set of new lines is extremely appealing though. I can't wait to get my hands on some of it. Too bad my birthday isn't until August.

I've been working with the C2P kit but I was so busy this weekend that I had to put scrapping on the back burner. I've almost finished a page and I'm loving the way it's coming out. I've got an old book of letters and pictures that my Girl Scout troop gave me in 5th grade for a going away present in one of those magnetic cling albums. I'm trying to get everything out of there and get them scrapped onto real pages. Very cute. All my old friends as little kids. There's also a great page with me as little kid. It's post a kitchen sink perm because my hair is a little curly.

Here's hoping I'm able to finish up at least one page tonight. I'll have to figure out when I can post the end results. Amy?

Hope everyone is having and enjoyable weekend!

Commit2Paper sneak peek!

Because I love yall so much. So much. I'm gonna give you a little sneak peek at my Commit2Paper kit that came today (hooray for being the first!).

Sorry it's not the best quality of picture but I wanted to get it to you ASAP.

That being said, if you haven't paid for your kit yet, hurry up! (Amy says if everyone pays before the 15th she might ship them sooner!) If you haven't ordered a kit yet but this sneak peek wets your appetite for more, head over to Commit2Paper and grab one! There's only 8 left!

Inspiration E-zine

Yours truly went live yesterday with the newest issue of Design for Mankind's Inspiration E-zine. I re-read what I wrote and I'm pleased it came out sounding normal and not completely spastic.

So enjoy, read and support!!

Some things to check out

If you're an avid Ali Edwards reader you might have already seen this but I wanted to share it with you anyway because I've decided I want all of it. Get out your wish lists!
These yummy album goodies are from the D. Reeves Design House and I'm seriously in love. Can't wait to get my hands on something. Enjoy!

Swap ideas, Link sharing

So I've been working on some ideas for a swap I'd try and host off my blog here, but I'm drawing a blank. I'm trying to steer away from cards (as I just finished one and have already joined another), but other than that I'm stuck. I need suggestions. Also if you are interested in joining up. I like the idea of doing something we could use up some stash on.

Also, I'm interested in which blogs and websites you are on every day (besides Beauty in Choas here). So share some linkage. I'll do a big post with links once I get something.
