Dirty Scraps : Pet Peeves

I just did this layout for the first challenge over at Dirty Scraps! The challenge was about a pet peeve, but also to put a positive spin on it of sorts.

So i journaled about dealing with friends who are just full of passive aggressive crap. my positive spin is mostly about learning how to stand up for myself, instead just letting them pull this on me again and again.

January Commit2Paper Layouts

This page actually means a lot more to me then I would normally let on. I found this photo in my things and it made me catch my breath a little. My friends looked so happy here, and so young. We used to be so close, but things have changed so much. But as the title says, no matter where we go? We were there. we had that moment and that friendship.

Sharing: Plus 3 Network

My friend Meag clued me in to the Plus 3 Network website.

The main idea of the website is they donate money for the workouts you accomplish. While the website seems to attract the really hardcore athlete (the 26+ mile trail run type) Meag and I have joined in an attempt to raise money, as well as for an extra motivation for doing some well needed exercise.

Plus with all things, it's come down to a friendly wager. Whoever raises $10 first owes the other a $10 iTunes card. I think she's going to wind up beating me, but she's always been more focused.

I'm not sure what prompted me to choose faith for this week, but it was the word that popped into my head.

I hardly would call myself a religious person. The last two times I was in church were for my wedding and Christmas, but I do believe that faith is beautiful. In all forms. And faith is more than just religion and spirituality. It's faith in others, trust, and love.

Sometimes, faith is just taking that leap.

Starting again

Wow.

I've separated myself from blogging here for too long. I think most of it is to blame on the wedding and the lack of time I've had to scrapbook, but more than that, I've just been away.

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, and I'll try working on posting regularly. With that in mind, I'm going to try and work on a few themed posts.

Monday - Pretty Monday (everyone needs something pretty on Mondays. Expect photographs, stories or layouts. Something to jump start your day.)

Tuesday - Mosaic Tuesday (collecting themes for those interested)

Friday - Share something (either a new website, or product or something cool I found.)

Throughout the week expect posts on layouts or other scrapbooking things, as well as a few general observations on life.
